RequestHub terms of use
Last updated: 22 October 2026
These terms of use ("Terms") are an agreement between Tessellate Advisory Pty Ltd (ABN 14 609 961 462), trading as RequestHub ("RequestHub", "we", "us" or "our"), and the business or person who uses our Services ("you"). If you use the Services on behalf of a business, you confirm you are authorised to accept these Terms for that business, and "you" means that business.
By creating an account or using the Services, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Services.
1. Definitions
- Services means the RequestHub app, website, and any related features we provide.
- User means any individual who accesses the Services, including your team members.
- Account means a User's registered login.
- Organisation means a business set up in the Services, which one or more Users can access.
- Customer Data means the data you or your Users put into the Services, including emails, attachments, drawings, requests for quotation ("RFQs"), customer and contact details.
- Output means the information the Services produce from Customer Data, including AI-extracted details and suggestions.
- Fees means the subscription and overage charges for the Services.
2. Your account
2.1 Each User needs their own Account. Keep your login details confidential, and do not share an Account between people.
2.2 You are responsible for what happens under your Organisation's Accounts, and for making sure your Users follow these Terms.
2.3 Tell us promptly at [email protected] if you believe an Account has been accessed without permission.
2.4 You may not transfer an Account or Organisation to another business without our written consent, which we will not unreasonably withhold.
3. Using the Services
3.1 We grant you a non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the Services for your internal business purposes while your subscription or trial is active.
3.2 You must not:
- (a) copy, reverse engineer, or attempt to recreate any part of the Services, except as the law allows;
- (b) interfere with or disrupt the Services, including by attacks such as denial of service or by uploading malware;
- (c) upload Customer Data that you do not have the right to use, or that infringes someone else's rights;
- (d) use the Services in breach of any law, including privacy and anti-spam laws; or
- (e) resell or give third parties access to the Services, other than your own Users.
4. AI-generated Output
4.1 The Services use artificial intelligence to read and interpret Customer Data. AI can make mistakes: Output may be incomplete or inaccurate, and it can misread drawings, quantities, materials, dates, or contact details.
4.2 Output is an aid to your work, not a replacement for your judgement. You are responsible for reviewing Output before you rely on it, including before you send a quote, accept an order, or start production.
4.3 Your quoting, pricing, and production decisions remain yours.
5. Subscriptions, trials, and Fees
5.1 The Services are provided on a subscription basis, billed monthly or annually in advance, as shown at checkout. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled.
5.2 A business that signs up with a business email address can use a free trial of 10 quote requests. The trial needs no payment method, so you do not need to give us a card, and it has no time limit: it ends once you have used those 10 quote requests. It is a one-off trial, not a free plan, and it does not renew. The trial is not available if you sign up with a personal email address (such as Gmail or a similar free email service). In that case you must buy a paid subscription to use the Services, and clause 5.5 applies to that purchase as it does to any other.
5.3 Overage is on by default for paid subscriptions. If you use more quote requests in a month than your plan includes, we keep processing them and charge for each extra request at your plan's overage rate, which excludes tax (see clause 5.7). Overage charges are never discounted, including by coupons or discount codes. Overage is limited by a spending cap, which is an amount of money before tax, not a number of requests. When you first subscribe, the cap starts at one month of your plan's price (on an annual plan, the plan's monthly price). We do not change the cap after that, including if you change plan. You can raise, lower, or remove the cap, or turn overage off, at any time in the Services. If you reach the cap, or reach your plan's limit with overage off, AI processing of new quote requests pauses until your plan's allowance resets the next month, until you raise the cap or turn overage on, or until you upgrade. Everything else in the Services keeps working.
5.4 You can cancel at any time in the Services. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and you keep access until then.
5.5 Refunds. Fees already paid are not refundable for change of mind, and we do not refund part-used billing periods, except as set out in clauses 8.2, 14.4 and 16.2 or where the law requires it (see clause 11). Nothing in these Terms limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.
5.6 Price changes. We may change our prices by giving you at least 30 days' notice by email. A new price applies from your next billing period after the notice period ends, and for annual subscriptions from your next renewal. If you do not accept a price change, you can cancel before it takes effect and you will not be charged the new price.
5.7 Currency and taxes. Prices are in US dollars by default. You can choose to pay in Australian dollars (AUD), Canadian dollars (CAD), euros (EUR), British pounds (GBP) or New Zealand dollars (NZD) instead. Prices exclude taxes, unless stated otherwise at checkout. For subscriptions in Australia, 10% GST is added to the price.
6. Customer Data
6.1 You own your Customer Data. We do not claim any ownership of it.
6.2 You grant us a licence to host, copy, process, and display Customer Data as needed to provide, support, secure, and fix the Services.
6.3 You also permit us to use Customer Data to improve the accuracy of the Services' AI, and to analyse patterns and trends so we can improve and develop the Services. When we do this, we use de-identified or aggregated data wherever we reasonably can. Where we need to look at a specific record (for example, to investigate an extraction error), access is limited to the people who need it. We do not sell Customer Data, and we do not use it to train AI models offered to anyone other than RequestHub.
6.4 We take reasonable steps to protect Customer Data, including encryption and access controls. No online service is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee that Customer Data will never be lost, corrupted, or accessed without permission. We recommend you keep your own copies of important original documents.
6.5 If we become aware of a security incident that affects your Customer Data, we will tell you promptly.
6.6 Keeping and deleting your data. While your subscription is active, we keep your Customer Data so you can use the Services. After your subscription ends:
- (a) you can ask us to export your Customer Data, and we will provide it within 30 days of your request;
- (b) we keep your Customer Data after that, so that your history is still there if you come back; and
- (c) you can ask us to delete it at any time, and we will do so within 30 days unless the law requires us to keep it.
Deleted data may remain in our backups for a limited time until those backups expire on their normal cycle. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal information.
7. Third-party services
7.1 The Services depend on third-party providers, including payment processing (Stripe), hosting, email processing, and AI processing (currently OpenAI). Customer Data is shared with these providers only as needed to provide the Services.
7.2 We choose these providers carefully, but we do not control them. Outages or faults in their services can affect the Services.
8. Availability and changes to the Services
8.1 We aim to keep the Services available and working well, but we do not promise that they will be uninterrupted or error-free. We may carry out maintenance, and we will try to give notice of planned downtime where it is practical.
8.2 We improve and change the Services regularly, and features may be added, changed, or removed. If we remove or materially reduce a core feature or integration that you have been relying on, and that materially disadvantages you, you may cancel by telling us. Despite clause 5.4, that cancellation takes effect immediately, and we will refund the unused part of any Fees you have prepaid, worked out pro rata from the date the cancellation takes effect. Minor changes, such as changes to layout, design, or how a feature is presented, do not give a right to cancel under this clause.
9. Privacy
We handle personal information in line with our Privacy Policy. You are responsible for having any consent or notice needed to put other people's personal information (such as your customers' contact details) into the Services.
10. Intellectual property and feedback
10.1 We own the Services and all intellectual property in them, including improvements. Nothing in these Terms transfers that ownership to you.
10.2 If you give us suggestions or feedback, we may use them freely without owing you anything.
11. Australian Consumer Law
11.1 Our Services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law ("ACL"). Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts, or modifies any right or remedy, or any guarantee, warranty, or other term or condition, implied or imposed by the ACL or any other law that cannot lawfully be excluded, restricted, or modified ("Non-Excludable Rights").
11.2 Where the Services are not of a kind ordinarily acquired for personal, domestic, or household use, and to the extent the law allows, our liability for failing to comply with a Non-Excludable Right is limited, at our option, to supplying the Services again or paying the cost of having them supplied again.
12. Limitation of liability
12.1 Exclusion of warranties. Apart from the Non-Excludable Rights and anything expressly stated in these Terms, the Services are provided "as is", and we exclude all other warranties, guarantees, and conditions, to the extent the law allows.
12.2 Indirect loss. To the extent the law allows, neither party is liable to the other for any indirect or consequential loss, or for any loss of profit, revenue, business, contracts, or opportunity (including a lost quote or order), or loss of goodwill, however caused, arising from or in connection with these Terms or the Services.
12.3 Cap. To the extent the law allows, each party's total liability arising from or in connection with these Terms or the Services, whether in contract, tort (including negligence), or otherwise, is limited to the greater of:
- (a) the Fees you paid for the Services in the 12 months before the event that gave rise to the claim; and
- (b) AUD $100.
Where Fees were paid in a currency other than Australian dollars, they are converted to Australian dollars at the exchange rate published by the Reserve Bank of Australia on, or most recently before, the date of the event that gave rise to the claim.
12.4 What the limits do not cover. Clauses 12.2 and 12.3 do not limit:
- (a) your obligation to pay Fees;
- (b) your obligations under clause 13 (indemnity);
- (c) liability for fraud, or for death or personal injury caused by negligence; or
- (d) any Non-Excludable Right.
12.5 Contribution. A party's liability is reduced to the extent the other party, or its Users, caused or contributed to the loss, including by relying on Output without reviewing it as clause 4.2 requires.
13. Your indemnity
You agree to compensate us for any loss, cost (including reasonable legal costs), or liability we incur because of a claim by a third party that arises from:
- (a) Customer Data you or your Users put into the Services, including a claim that it infringes someone's intellectual property or privacy; or
- (b) your or your Users' breach of clause 3.2 or of the law.
This indemnity is reduced to the extent that we caused or contributed to the loss.
14. Suspension and termination
14.1 You may stop using the Services and cancel your subscription at any time under clause 5.4.
14.2 We may suspend access to the Services, but only to the extent and for as long as reasonably necessary, if:
- (a) Fees are overdue by more than 14 days after we have notified you;
- (b) your use of the Services poses a security risk or threatens their stability for other customers; or
- (c) we are required to do so by law.
We will tell you before suspending where we reasonably can, and restore access promptly once the issue is resolved.
14.3 We may terminate your access by written notice if:
- (a) you materially breach these Terms and do not fix the breach within 14 days after we tell you about it;
- (b) you breach clause 3.2 in a way that is serious and cannot be fixed, such as illegal use or a deliberate attack on the Services; or
- (c) we are required to do so by law.
14.4 We may also end the Services for all customers, or stop offering them to you, by giving at least 90 days' written notice. In that case we will refund any prepaid Fees for the period after the Services end.
14.5 When your access ends, Fees owing up to that date (including any overage) remain payable, and clause 6.6 applies to your Customer Data. Clauses 6.6, 10, 11, 12, 13, 15, and 17 continue to apply after these Terms end.
15. Disputes
15.1 If a dispute arises, the party raising it will tell the other in writing, and both will try in good faith to sort it out directly before starting court proceedings.
15.2 Nothing in this clause stops either party from seeking urgent relief from a court.
16. Changes to these Terms
16.1 We may update these Terms from time to time, for example to reflect changes to the Services or the law.
16.2 For a change that materially disadvantages you, we will email you at least 30 days before it takes effect. If you do not accept the change, you may cancel before it takes effect. Despite clause 5.4, that cancellation takes effect immediately, and we will refund the unused part of any Fees you have prepaid, worked out pro rata from the date the cancellation takes effect.
16.3 Other changes take effect when we post them on this page. The date at the top shows when these Terms last changed.
17. General
17.1 Governing law. These Terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia. Each party submits to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Victoria and the courts that can hear appeals from them.
17.2 Events outside our control. Neither party is liable for a delay or failure to perform (other than paying Fees) caused by events beyond its reasonable control, such as a major outage at a hosting provider, natural disaster, or government action.
17.3 Assignment. You may not transfer your rights under these Terms without our written consent, which we will not unreasonably withhold. We may transfer these Terms to a buyer of all or most of our business if we tell you, and your rights under these Terms are not reduced.
17.4 Severability. If a court finds part of these Terms unenforceable, that part is limited or removed only as far as necessary, and the rest continues to apply.
17.5 Waiver. Not enforcing a right straight away does not mean we or you give it up.
17.6 Entire agreement. These Terms and our Privacy Policy are the whole agreement between us about the Services.
17.7 Notices. We send notices to the email address on your Account. You can send notices to us at [email protected]. Our registered address is Ground Floor, 470 St Kilda Road, Melbourne VIC 3004, Australia.
